Oakmont’s Finalist

We are incredibly proud to be able to announce, that our very own Ian Rowe, has been named a finalist in The Chartered Institute of Building’s (CIOB) ‘Construction Manager of the Year Awards 2020’.

Ian has been with Oakmont Construction for 14 years, was instrumental in the setting of Oakmont’s core values, and has worked tirelessly for the duration of his career with us to uphold these ideals and to deliver for our customers time after time.

Ian was instrumental in the refurbishment of London’s iconic Piccadilly Lights for our client Landsec, but the project that has led to his nomination is the Lon-1 Data Centre in Dagenham.

CIOB says of Ian and the delivering of Lon-1; “His clarity of thought, strategic focus and technical mastery were constants. He integrated a large-scale tenant fit-out with his own base build. And his ability to incorporate extensive design changes once construction had started was astonishing.”.

The final will take place virtually this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.  Although disappointing it does mean all of the Oakmont team can ‘attend’ to support Ian asnd hopefully see him named Construction Manager of the Year in his category.  We wish Ian all the best for the final on 25th November, in our eyes there cannot be a more deserved winner.
